New directors were elected to the management board at Wilton Community Land Trust’sannual meeting on July 6, when more members joined and the trust’s main aims were underlined.

Chairman Mark Pountain and company secretary Sam Thake stepped down from their roles after several years on the board. They were thanked for their services and for developing the role of the trust as a community body, with the focus on four main priorities of low-cost housing, trade, tourism and community.

A new chairman will be elected by the directors at the next board meeting on July 17, at the trust’s offices in West Street.
