Wilton Community Land Trust was set up to develop and manage homes as well as other assets important to the community, like community enterprises, trade, tourism, food growing and workspaces.

The CLT aim to provide a framework in which businesses, special interest groups and charities in Wilton and the surrounding areas can come together and grow. We want to integrate, promote and stimulate local ventures in four prime areas – housing, trade, tourism and community.

Wilton is a perfect blend of tradition and trend with so many different facets, and they all come together to make an exciting, vibrant community. There are many successful independent traders in the town and we should use and celebrate them!

Working in partnership, the Community Land Trust and Wilton and District Business Chamber are behind the town’s innovative Wilton Week designed to give new and existing local traders and the town centre a new lease on life. Wilton Week will take place 11th – 17th June.

Businesses keen to test whether Wilton is the right place for their venture are being offered the opportunity of a Pop Up Space in one of the empty shop units.

We are already blessed with some great businesses here, incredible pubs, eateries and a deli, the possibility of a railway station, free parking, numerous local neighbourhood groups and a thriving community centre.

Generations of residents remember different shops coming and going, but Wilton has always retained a strong community pride. There is a genuine desire to preserve the traditional, the historical and the independent. Wilton has evolved into a vibrant and unique community with independent businesses proudly supported by local residents. And we definitely want to keep it that way!

If you are interested in a Pop Up Space we are still accepting applications of interest but there are only a few spaces left. For information contact zoe.cupit@wiltonclt.com
